In our country, the secondary vocational education is not only an important part of the senior secondary education, but also the important foundation of China’s economic and social development, shouldering the important task of cultivating high-quality workers for the current needs of the society, the secondary vocational education is a education which is ability orientation and its aim is to improve vocational ability. By taking the employment as the guidance, students will be educated to be high-quality workers who can completely meet the needs of the society production, service and management with comprehensive qualities. With the continuous adjustment of the sustainable development of our country’s economic construction and the economic structure, our society has put forward higher requirement for knowledge, ability, quality of talents, so teaching reform and innovation has become the key to the sustainable development of the vocational education. It has become the key to the development of the secondary vocational education to grasp the basic rules and characteristics of the secondary vocational education, change the traditional ideas of education and teaching, and to find teaching methods which may totally improve teaching quality"computer application foundation" belongs to the public basic courses in the vocational education. It is not an introductory-level course of non-computer major students. The teaching goal is to train the students in a certain professional proficiency in the use of computer modern management, requires that such teaching goal occupation ability of students not only grasp the operation skills, but also strive to achieve:effective and efficient access to information; can accurately, the creative use of information; to seek and personal information appreciate and reasonable evaluation; information; active in the group inquiry activities. Because this is a practical course, most schools have increased the operating class proportion, but the practice teaching mode is still operating in the first demonstration of the teacher, students, teaching methods that is easy to grasp but not conducive to the development of innovation, such as the face of the actual processing of the office, a majority of students or be at a loss what to do, the teaching method is not conducive to the cultivation of students’ability to analyze and solve problems, to cultivate students’innovation ability, so we need to change the old education idea, teaching methods and learning styles of students.Firstly, through literature research methods, the nature of the project teaching method were studied. Then using the method of action research, the application of project teaching method in practical teaching, through the practical application to illustrate the benefits of the project teaching method, adopting the methods of questionnaire survey analysis, the implementation of the project teaching method was the results of investigation and analysis, further demonstrates the significance of the topic. The article is divided into six parts:in the first two chapter mainly analyzes the research background and significance, points out that the reform of teaching method is important vocational education; the third chapter elaborates the definition and characteristics of project teaching, analysis of the main theoreticalbasis on project teaching; the fourth and the fifth chapter is the application of the teaching of basic computer application course project from the course of teaching design, the project started, according to the students’professional training objective and reasonable design teaching, practical teaching and evaluation, the final conclusions drawn through the data statistics; the sixth chapter is summary and analysis of the limitations of the research, suggestions for improvement and further prospects.
