Students’ inert knowledge problems have long been universal, alwaystroubled school education and overall development of students. With the change ofconcept of knowledge and learning theory, educational idea also innovated, the task fora teacher is not simply transferred the book knowledge to students, but pay attention tothe students’ comprehensive practical ability; it’s an important prerequisite to activatestudents’ inert knowledge. In view of the basic understanding of inert knowledge, Firstly,The paper start with the essence of inert knowledge, then analyze the connotation,characteristics, types, representation of inert knowledge and so on, in order to deeplyand accurately reveal the formation mechanism of students’ inert knowledge, putforward the corresponding teaching strategies, and try hard to do some usefulexplorations to activate the students’ inert knowledge.The article has five parts. In order to promoted the formation mechanism ofstudents’ inert knowledge and strategy research which was based on the researchprogress of inert knowledge.In chapter one, this article inspects the basic connotation and the nature ofknowledge, in order to grasp of the basic connotation and characteristics of inertknowledge more accurately, formed a basic theory of inert knowledge;In chapter two, it used classroom observation; in-depth revealed the hierarchy,types and forms of inert knowledge, which expected grasp the essence of students’ inertknowledge more clearly;In chapter three, comprehensive analyzed the forming reasons of inert knowledge,combined with the actual case and self-analysis;In chapter four, to further analyze the formation of knowledge and the process ofstudents learn knowledge, the key lies in the formation mechanism of students’ inert knowledge;In chapter five, basis on the practical case of activate students’ inert knowledge,then summarizes the teaching mode of it, and puts forward to activate the teachingimprovement strategy of students’ inert knowledge.In this article, inert knowledge affects students’ abilities to solve practicalproblems, hinders students’ learning abilities and creative abilities, influences students’psychological structure. But as long as the feasible teaching strategies, it can beactivated. In the foundation of students’ inert knowledge, it put forward theimprovement teaching strategies purposefully. That is the complexity of teachingknowledge; the core problem of teaching; situational teaching; the overall teaching;flexible teaching performance teaching.
