In the modern western influence, sketch, color and so on have become the theme of painting in art teaching. However, the black and white painting with Chinese characteristics gradually faded out of sight of our people. Contemporary middle school students know little about Chinese painting. Therefore, the author would strongly urge that we should strengthen students Chinese art appreciating education in order to carry forward the nationals sence and motivate the students’ love for our homeland. Traditional Chinese painting has a long history and it has a unique role in the history of world painting. Middle school students should probably be close to this art and get beneficial nutrients from it. This is also the true experience of quality-oriented education. However, the appreciation of traditional Chinese painting teaching in middle school nowadays is worrying. It shows in monotonous teaching, too scripted, simple methods, poor effect and weak repercussion. For this reason, on the base of teaching practice, this paper puts up forwards the idea to integrate with the related disciplines and analysis the traditional Chinese painting from the exterior to the interior, or let the students do it by themselves, so that they can gain aesthetic pleasure.
