Research On Model Education Of College Students

The model education of college students can drive college students to emulate those excellent qualities of models and enlighten them. The model education of college students has made remarkable achievements in the past, but under the impact of the diverse values, networks and other factors, the education effect appears to weaken, which has a great impact on the effectiveness of the ideological and political education. Therefore we need to study the model education of college students in new age to improve it.This paper explores the countermeasures of improving the model education of college students through the analysis of their problems and causes. The paper is divided into four parts.The first section, based on the definition and basic concepts of model and model education of college students, this part elaborate the theoretical basis of the Marxist and relevant disciplines on model education of college students. This part is a theoretical starting point of the full text.The second part reviews the achievements of model education of college students. This part elaborates the remarkable achievements on model education itself, colleges and universities and college students group since model education of college students have been carried out so far and affirmed the important role of model education in college students.The third part analyzes the problems and the reasons of model education on college students from the subject of model education, the object of model education, the content of model education, the methods of model education, the environment of model education and supervision and protection of model, which includes the absence of role on educators; the negative effects of unhealthy tendencies on college students; the impropriety content in model education and the loss of objectivity in publicity of model education. On the basis of analysis on problems, this part discourse the reasons behind the problems.The fourth part explores the countermeasures to strengthen and improve the model education of college students. The author put forward specific measures on model education of college students from six aspects including subject, object, content, methods, environment and supervision and protection. The subject in model education should improve their own quality, pay attention to the status and feedback of student; the object should pay attention to moral practice and the cultivation of socialist core values; the educational content should be people-oriented and highlight closeness, relevance and diversity; the educational methods should improve mechanisms on model selection, supervision and protection, and adhere objectivity and normalization in propaganda; finally we should build a harmonious social environment and network environment for model education.
