In2001, Li Kedong, the South China Normal University professor, first proposed "Thematic Exploration--web development” learning mode, which is thebeginning of application and research on learning website. Then in the rapiddevelopment of information and network technology, more and more experts andscholars began to study the learning website. It concerns too much on the Chinese, physics, mathematics, geography, art and other subject matters, while with the themeof history and social studies is temporarily not found yet.At present, history and society course is still using the traditionalteacher-centered teaching mode. As an integrated curriculum, and strive to break theoriginal subject boundary, combine theory with practice and conform to thedevelopment of contemporary society, the traditional classroom-based teaching modewas apparently unable to integrate history, human geography and other contents verywell, thus exploring new teaching model is particularly important. In this study, under the guidance of the relevant theories, integrating the relevantNew Year traditions content in history and society course, I designed and developedthe "New Year: understanding the traditional custom around us" learning website. Thewebsite includes seven blocks, which are "textbook analysis","special knowledge","fine appreciation","students’ work","resource sharing","interaction" and"instructions for use". With the help of the teacher, choosing the Class1, grade eightstudents as subjects for teaching experiment. Through the experimental study to verifythe effectiveness of the learning website, exploring new teaching model, andproviding examples and foundation for the further related research.
