In the21st Century, education, one of the essentials of "Plan of Revival", is listed as a privilege by the government. Such an emphasis towards education reminded people of Leung Chi-tso, one of the most celebrated Chinese scholars, and his well-known essay "On the Youth of China", in which he wrote,"the revival and the wisdom of Chinese nation lie in the youth". Now the quality-oriented education, which focuses more on students’ creativity training and scientific quality practising, has become an urgent request of current tend. Mathematics experiment teaching is based on such an idea.Based on the concept of "subjectivity, exploration, innovation" and together with the rule of "renovation and rediscovery", mathematics experiment teaching has a prominent advantage in inspiring students’ creativity and revealing their scientific qualities. The essence of which requires that one should be able to select appropriate course materials, adopt advanced teaching technology and organize proper mathematics experiments. In such a teaching mould, students are offered with an opportunity to acquire the methods of observation, analysis, exploration, guesswork, and generalization. This esssay is to disscuss four main aspects of mathematic experiment teaching:First, the reasons why high school mathematics experiment teaching can meet the tendency of modern mathematics education. This part is a combination of the author’s teaching experience, and teaching pracitise from home and abroad including a description on "mathematics experiment" and an illustration on the necessity of "mathematics experiment teaching" from the perspective of teachers and students’s demands.Second, the principles of high school mathematics experiment teaching are to be revealed:the learning and teaching views of constructism, the theory of subjective education and the cognitive theory. Moreover, combining with teaching practice, the designing principles of mathematical experiment class teaching and that of learning are to be discussed.Third, combining mathematical experiment teaching practice with teaching cases, the rules of selecting mathematical experiment teaching content, and the design of the mathematical experiment teaching, which includes fiveparts:the establishment of situational goal-the laboratory activity-the theory of inductive hypothesis-the system of reflection, are to be disscussed.Fourth, the conculsions from action research and case through mathematics experiment teaching practice:1. The mathematics experiment teaching can develop teachers’ teaching methods and students’ learning styles.2. The mathematics experiment can improve the students’ learning attitude and the students’ interest in learning.3. The mathematics experiment teaching provides a platform on which students can redevelop and re-explore the mathematical knowledge4. The mathematics teaching reveals the educational value of computer experiment.5. The mathematics experiment teaching promotes the improvement of the teacher’s ability, enriches classroom teaching methods together with communication formulas, and makes a greater possiblity for the teachers’and students’ further developments.6. The cooperative learning ability, communication ability and scientific experimental ability can be enhanced by such a teaching mould. As a result, students would achieve a further comprehension of scientific research, a clearer understanding of scientific research, a better capability to handle scientific researches and a convincing acquirement of mathematical expressional ability.
