In recent years, it is prospect developed in the field of medicine with the rapid development of social economy, the improvement of people’s living standard and the standardization of medicine industry management. Along with the need of the society and the development of higher education, it is rapid developed in scale and depth of the cultivation of pharmacy talents. Since1999, with the expansion of higher education, and the popularization of higher pharmacy education, a large number of pharmacy talents have been trained for the development of medicine industry.At the same time, along with the employment market situation and changes of medical employment policy, pharmaceutical college students’ employment has become the focus. Due to the saturated employment of hospital and the drug agency and other institutions, especially after2008, with the influences of global financial crisis and great adjustment in pharmaceutical enterprises, the pharmaceutical college students’ employment of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NUCM) faced greater challenges. The increasing recruiting numbers of each year make the employment much more difficult. In recent years, although the employment rate of pharmacy is above90%, the contract rate is no more than60%. Most of the employed students are pharmaceutical sales, while a relatively small number of them are engaged in the production, research and development. Students’ comprehensive quality is good, while practical and innovative ability are relatively weak. By horizontal comparison, both of the employment number and quality are less than other universities with pharmaceutical college students in Nanjing. Facing opportunities and challenges, it is of great theoretical and practical significance in searching out a new mode of pharmaceutical college students’employment of NUCM with employment supply chain management.In the paper, a detailed analysis was done on the reason for the difficulty of employment of students of school of pharmacy of NJUCM with the traditional higher education supply chain management theory. Put forward on medicine specialty implementation supply chain management of university students’ employment the feasibility and necessity, creating employment supply chain management model by changing employment supply chain management strategy, establishing employment supply chain management coordination mechanism, strengthening the close cooperation between each node of the supply chain of the employment building information platform of employment supply chain management, implementing career planning for students of school of pharmacy.It is expected that through this topic research that be able to present the severe employment situation, the contradiction between supply and demand of serious offer new solutions, to promote college students’ employment to exploring new ideas, to enriching the supply chain management theory.
