In the modern society, the discussion and question about the only children who were born after80s hasn’t been settled. The only children born after80s is gradually beginning to enter the thirty years of age who has got married and settled down. And they have shouldered the mission of the backbone of society and the role of parenting. However, because of the social environment factors and parents own reason, the grandparents raise the "second-generation one-child" rather than the parents after80s. This is the so called "Inter-generational Bring-up Mode". In the past, studies focused on advantages and disadvantages of this mode, ignoring the inter-generational relations in this kind family. This paper will focus on the intergenerational conflict in this mode, revealing the cultural significance of inter-generational conflict in this mode.This article from the perspective of symbolic interaction theory, adopting the method of qualitative research, selects10typical "second-generation one-child" families to make participatory observation and take in-depth interview. It studies the interactive behavior between the groups of three generation. This article based on Goffman’ Drama Theory for the analysis of the main line, Firstly it clarifies the script, the drama class and the performance area, as a framework of the Inter-generational Bring-up to the "second-generation one-child". Based on this, in combination with other symbolic interaction theory, this article deeply researches the three generations’interaction, including the two classes’interaction between grandfather and "second-generation one-child" under the absence of parents and the three classes’interaction between grandparents, parents and "second-generation one-child". It interprets the reason on the intergeneration conflict. In the bottom, the article further proposes of communicating outside role and reconstruction of family culture to build harmonious intergenerational interaction.
