| Serving teachers’ paid home-teaching has become a common social phenomenon anddevelops fast. The research results include whether it is legal and reasonable and the analysis ofreasons, social effects and management, etc.. However, there is less research about thebackground and social meanings of serving teachers’ paid home-teaching. This thesis plans tostudy serving teachers’ paid home-teaching’s two tricks, social reasons and the strategies. The present research status can be fully understood through documentation method. Thefacts gathered through interviewing method benefit to proof the problems of two tricks. Servingteachers’ paid home-teaching reflects two tricks and the school teaching faces a dilemma becauseof quality education and examination system. As a result of time, some school teaching can fullyaccomplished, which leads students who face examination to ask for parents’ help. Hometeaching, to some extent, has new contents. However, parents lack professional knowledge orenergy to satisfy children’s tutor needs and turn to serving teachers. Two tricks lead some socialproblems: schools’ confused teaching faith, the change of home teaching’s focus and society’sutilitarian tendency. These facts result from families’ investment for children, the rent ofteachers’ knowledge and abilities in the market economy, infrequent good-quality educationresources and the examination-oriented education. The fact of serving teachers’ paidhome-teaching, which is based on market needs, is neither legal nor reasonable. If schools’teaching faith, society’s utilitarian tendency and examination system cannot change, this fact willexist in some forms. Therefore, it is necessary to regulate it.The research achievement is the regulation mechanism of serving teachers’ paidhome-teaching. Schools’ teaching faith should be clearly located. Society’s utilitarian tendencyshould change and turns to children’s full development. If both cannot be guaranteed, it isnecessary to regulate it. Education administrative agency should establish management center;serving teachers should form their own association; schools should ensure teaching quality andthe normal order of school teaching and education. |
