Currently, there are many problems in the delivery of high school geography class such as old teaching mode, inefficient classroom, and inadequate practice of new curriculum philosophy. The traditional teaching mode must be changed by the new curriculum reform to the fundamental transformation of teaching methods and learning styles, from exam oriented education to quality education to promote efficient classroom. Under the new curriculum context, construction and implementation of efficient geography classroom is conducive to the effective delivery of high school geography.Based on the geography teaching at No.1Middle of School of Baiyin City, Gansu Province, a large number of questionnaires and interviews have been conducted with teachers and students. According to theories including "humanistic theory","zone of proximal development theory", and "effective teaching theory", this thesis proposes "335" highly effective geography classroom teaching mode, and selects the experimental classes and regular classes for comparative experiments, analyzes and evaluates results, sums up teaching experimental results, and obtains the feasibility of applying "335" efficient classroom teaching in high school geography. Meanwhile, it mentions the points to be noticed in its application.The thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter1is the introduction, which focuses on the background and research significance of efficient classroom, and reviews research literature at home and abroad. It also describes the research purposes, methods and related theories. With the analysis of questionnaires, Chapter2identifies the problems in current classroom teaching. Chapter3defines the concept of efficient classroom, and proposes to construct efficient geography classroom from the perspectives of both teachers and students, and elaborates335classroom teaching mode. Chapter4practices "335" classroom teaching mode in the actual secondary school geography classes. With the case analysis, Chapter5focuses on the assessment strategies of efficient classroom, and justifies it with practical case and specifies the feasibility and shortcomings during its implementation.During the learning and teaching process, the author thinks critically and puts forward the "335" efficient high school geography teaching mode and checks it with practice, which is of practical and referential value for high school geography teaching mode.
