Women Involved In Domestic Violence Organization For Social Work

Whether it is for a single family or for the whole society, the problem of domestic violence against women will entail untold trouble. Therefore, it must be solved. In recent years, China has made some achievements on this issue, but compared with some developed countries, what we do is not enough. In the international, social work organization has been one of the pioneering force to maintenance women’s rights and against domestic violence. So, with the rise of social work, the social work organizations of China are explore the road in this area actively also.This study expand around the Shaanxi Research Association for Women and Family, which is a developing better social work organization, and it has a relatively large impact on the area of the anti-domestic violence work. It summed up the practice of Shaanxi Province Women’s Studies Association Against Domestic Violence through the collection of relevant information and field survey of more than three months, and as a basis to analysis of the achievements and shortcomings in social work organization in the anti-domestic violence work. By analyzing the case, this study depicts the problems which are about social acceptance, the institutional environment, to clarify the role of expectations and obligations, to prevent staff "Burnout" and so on, encountered by the social work organization. And analysis of the difficulties encountered in these problems. At last, based on a summary of the practice of the Shaanxi Research Association for Women and Family and to change the internal and external environment of social work organization in the anti-domestic violence work as a end-result,this study elaborated what kind of support of social work organization to the need for external environment to provide and what the own direction of future efforts. The reason to do this study is guiding the social work organization to help the government and the community to provide better protection for victims of domestic violence with women, and ultimately completely eradicate this malignant tumor of domestic violence.
