| Cheerleading is a newly developed and fashionable sportevent, which is originated in America. It is originally a kind of cheering on matches,while it has now become an independent sport event. Since it was introduced inChina in2000, it has been always favored by teenagers who are considered as thepromoters of the cheer aerobics culture which is actually closely related to aparticular environment, namely, school campus. It can be said that cheer aerobics is aproduct of campus culture. However, in China, both the aerobics culture and thecampus culture need to be developed within the socialism core value system. Thefusion of two cultures is not only the requirement of social development, but also thereflection of the positive energy of multiculture. Therefore, it is of great significanceto study the interactive effect between cheerleading culture and campus culture.This paper, through documentation method, expert interview, questionnairesurvey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, attempts to do an empirical studyon the development of cheer aerobics on school campus by starting from analyzingthe features of aerobics and campus culture. Then it aims to explore the interactiverelationship between the two with an intention to provide a theoretical basis andguide for practicing cultural integration and the socialism core value system. Finally,the studies get to the following conclusions:1. The cheerleading distinguishes itself in the uniqueness of its culturalprograms, contemporaneity of its contents, consistency of its skills, emphasis onindividually and cooperation. The essence of its culture is that it can guide teenagersto live a positive and healthy life.2. The uniqueness of campus lies in the culture itself with the function ofinstructing, encouraging, psychologically optimizing, group uniting and socialradiating.3. The common ground of cheerleading culture and campus culture is that bothof them exist in a society where knowledge economy develops fast, under whichcircumstance, they exchange with each other and develop in a interactiverelationship.4. The effect produced by cheer aerobics culture and campus culture is in line with the main stream of socialism core value system.5. In the process of spreading, there is something wrong in the orientation ofcheerleading culture, which causes teenagers’ misunderstanding of and prejudice onit. Therefore, it is important to guide them.6. Cheerleading culture and campus culture develop in a interactive virtuouscycle, which not only meet the needs of schools, teachers and parents for positiveenergy, but also grantees that their interaction can produce positive energy. |
