Analysis Of The Use Of Lifting In The Mixed Super Group Of Skill Cheerleading At The World Cheerleading Championships

On July 20,2021,the 138th IOC Executive Committee meeting was held in Tokyo,Japan,and the International Organizing Committee of the Olympic Movement announced the granting of fully recognized international status to the International Cheerleading Federation.Cheerleading will soon become an Olympic sport,which will also promote the development of Chinese cheerleading into a new journey.As the core and soul of the cheerleading program,the lifting movement plays a pivotal role in the evaluation process of the set of movements,and the completion of the lifting movement with high quality and high level will be the key to win.This study is based on the "2021 Edition of Cheerleading Competition Rules",through literature,video analysis,comparative analysis,expert interviews,quantitative statistics and other research methods,to conduct an in-depth and comprehensive study of the top eight finalists of the mixed super group of cheerleading skills in the last two World Cheerleading Championships,to find out the advantages of the world’s best teams,and to accurately grasp the characteristics of the structure of the hold in the set of collective cheerleading skills.In order to provide reference for improving the strength of China’s group cheerleading program in the choreography of the set of lifting movements.The results of the study are as follows:1.the rules do not have specific regulations and evaluation of scores for the hold-up movements,but the difficulty ceiling of six levels of hold-up movements is divided;coaches can create various types of hold-up movements in the specified range according to the athletes’ ability level.2.The distribution of participating countries(regions)is mainly Europe,North America,Asia,South America,while Africa and Oceania did not appear to participate in the team.The top three medals are distributed as North America>Asia>Europe>South America.The economic development of the country(region) determines the participation of the event,and most of the countries(regions)with more than 6 times of participation are developed countries or developed economies.The total number of athletes in the participating teams tends to be arranged with a full complement of 24,and the gender ratio between female and male athletes is basically maintained at 3:5 or 1:2,with a smaller overall gap.More and more teams are seeing top athletes and base athletes doubling up in multiple capacities,maximizing staffing efficiency.3.The total number of the easiest straight category in the lifting movement has decreased,the total number of the more difficult tumbling category has increased steadily,and the compound category has appeared only once for the U.S.team.Straight plus 360°,inversion,backflip and back handspring have become the signature moves of the top eight in the mixed cheerleading super group in the last two World Cheerleading Championships.The number of intermediate shapes used in the hold-ups is decreasing,and the number of junior,senior and elite shapes is increasing.The increase in beginner poses is to follow up with more difficult advanced or elite poses,while the intermediate poses,which are also single-legged poses,will be used less.4.In the past two years,the top eight places in the mixed super group of cheerleading skills in the World Cheerleading Championships are related to the completion of the hold-up movement,that is,the failure rate,difficulty,synchronization and creative choreography of the hold-up movement,the success rate of the hold-up movement will be an important factor affecting the score of the competition,and the difficulty and choreography are the main key factors to win.
