This study of idioms, proverbs as elective course teaching material content, inChinese-English translation teaching way, for the mother tongue and culturalbackground, some of the idioms in Chinese-English translation teaching, within thescope of the high school students can understand, for Chinese idioms vocabularybilingual type definitions, stimulate students’ curiosity, to deepen studentsunderstanding of Chinese and foreign language and culture, improve the humanisticquality. Through practice of Chinese-English idioms teaching summary, for the highschool Chinese elective courses provide a kind of new teaching mode. The firstchapter mainly introduces the background, significance and research content ofpapers and the definition of teaching model. The second chapter is about thelanguage thinking opening untranslatability in the elective courses. The third chapteris the untranslatability class instance is introduced.
