As the "mother of the movement" track and field sports, contains the necessary for human survival and life walk, run, jump, throw the basic motor skills, such as fitness, education and athletics, and other functions. Engaged in the system of track and field sports exercise, not only helps children to raise the level of basic motor skills to promote the healthy development of children’s physical, psychological and other aspects, but also to children, such as strength, agility, speed and flexibility with various physical quality development in an all-round way. In our country school sports, athletics sports has been listed as a compulsory subject, but as a result of athletics itself is boring, plus track and field teaching of the old teaching materials, methods and means of a single, training is more boring, leading to the status of track and field course in physical education is at stake. In this case, the IAAF introduced for children aged7to12, called "the IAAF Kids’ Athletics", namely "IAAF Kids’Athletics", walk, run, jump, cast and other basic forms of track and field sports, competition in groups as the basic organization, entertaining and interesting, aims to cultivate children’s interest in track and field sports, teaching of track and field technique, improve physical quality, and draw the children back in track and field sports activities.This article through the literature material law, the teacher interview method, experimental method, mathematical statistics, logic analysis and other research methods, and through a period of time the IAAF Kids’ Athletics experimental teaching, comparison subjects before and after the experiment speed, strength, flexibility and quick changes of the four aspects of basic physical quality, the IAAF Kids’Athletics are obtained in terms of basic physical quality training school-age children.This experiment in yangzhou Chen Jun HanJiang area schools, aged between7~8participants of1st (4),(5) all the students in class. Through the IAAF Kids’ Athletics teaching experiments for ten weeks, the results showed that:1、IAAF Kids’ Athletics, adopting the teaching content, such as formula one run, the organization form of rich, so as to improve the track and field course practice density, the experimental results show that the IAAF Kids’Athletics to the improvement of quality of rural school-age children speed has a significant effect. 2、Jump "cross" in IAAF Kids’ Athletics, rope ladder run projects such as variety of forms, interest is bigger, students’ practice, in the game and the game was significantly increased in the process of children’s sensitive quality, at the same time improve the children’s ability to respond to the external environment change.3、IAAF Kids’Athletics using tunnels "drill", and "see-saw" game development teaching contents, flexible quality is given priority to with collective exercise, improve the track and field course practice density, the experimental results show that the flexible character of children have been significantly improved.4、IAAF Kids’ Athletics teaching content such as children javelin, do not throw, combined with a variety of forms such as fun games, arouse the enthusiasm of the students’ practice, the power quality of the children after get significant growth.5、IAAF Kids’ Athletics of significant effect on improving the quality of the rural school-age children body for its extension and implementation has certain reference value for reference.
