Instructional design, basically, is to analyze specific problems and solve themaccordingly so that learners can learn better. The commonest way to applyinstructional design is to adopt ADDIE model, which includes five phases of Analysis,Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Corporative training is aspecial kind of instruction, to which ADDIE model has been applied widely. Based onactual practices, instructional designers prefer to use ADDIE model for a rapid designwith clear goals and task assignments in these trainings.With the development of educational technology, web-based instruction is moreand more appraised and used among corporations. It is recognized as a wonderful wayto keep trainings economical and accessible. As learners are employees, theinstruction is closely related to their jobs and their company. Therefore, corporationsbehold the idea of developing their inner courses, which counts a great deal oninstructional design.This study is a practice of applying ADDIE model in designing and developing aseries of online courses for salesmen in a specific company in Shanghai. This study isheld to explore and exemplify a way to apply rapid design model in a real web-basedcorporative training.
