At the stage of junior high school, the conversion of active voice and passive voice is a very important teaching content, but also a difficulty in grammar learning for students. The several commonly used grammar teaching modes have some particular shortcomings at present. The effectiveness of learning methods of rules and examples has been verified in mathematical operation, chemical equation, narrative writing and other learning fields. The rule and example learning can both meet the autonomous learning demands of the students, but also can stimulate the enthusiasm of students’ independent learning, and it is a popular and challenging learning method by the students with the spirit of challenging and in intelligence. In order to explore learning from worked examples of English grammar rules, this study adopts four kinds of worked examples-with no mark and with no exercise, with no mark and with exercise, with mark and with no exercise, and with mark and with exercise, to conduct experimental study of the condition of learning from worked examples of active and passive voice conversion rules in English among180students in the first grade of junior high school.180students were randomly divided into a control group, four experimental groups and a comparison group (30persons for each group). The experiment was divided into two parts including learning the conversion of active voice into passive voice and learning the conversion of passive voice into active voice. The control group used traditional oral teaching method to learn and successively complete the learning of two parts including the conversion of active voice into passive voice and the conversion of passive voice into active voice, the experimental group completed the learning contents of two parts by the method of learning the four examples and the control group involved in the example learning with marks and exercises in the learning part for the conversion of passive voice to active voice. The result shows that:On the basis of mastering a certain knowledge including accusative conversion of pronouns and past participle conversion of verbs, the students can learn the rules of the conversion of active and passive voices by effective examples of the passive voice for the conversion of active and passive voices, and the learning effect is significantly better than traditional method that the teachers impart the rules directly to the students in oral way.students can grasp grammar conversion rules through learning from worked examples, and the effect of learning from worked examples is obviously better than that of the pithy formula teaching; effect of learning from worked examples with exercise is obviously better than that with no exercise; effect of learning from worked examples with mark is obviously better than that with no mark; effect of learning from worked examples with both mark and exercise is the best; learning of conversion from active to passive voice has a transfer function for learning of conversion from passive to active voice.
