During the language teaching of primary school, there were so many subjects of the pattern transformation. Among all various pattern transformations,the transformation between quoted sentence(direct quotation) and paraphrased sentences was the most difficult and hardest part for elementary school students. At present, it was so difficult for all the primary school students to learn the rules between the quoted sentence and paraphrased sentences. Otherwise, the content and knowledge of quoted sentence and paraphrased sentence that appeared in the primary language textbooks were relatively simple and it couldn’t meet the demands of students’ learning.To solve these problems, this study was based on the learning characteristics of high-grade primary school students as well as primary language teaching practice, it focused on the transformation rules between quoted sentences and paraphrased sentences as the main content of sample study, it designed four examples, then it explored the final study results of the pattern transformation for pupils.In order to work out the learning outcomes of transformation rules between quoted sentences and paraphrased sentences, this research adopted the way of three(three grades) times four(four kinds of sample learning materials). Those two factors would be randomized experimental design. Before the experiment, choosing 120 participants from grade three, four and five and randomly divide participants into four groups in each grade, it had 30 people in each group. The experiment designed in four different sample learning materials including contrast, classification, tag and slide. Every semester would be chose randomly into four tested groups, those four groups of students would study different sample materials and then be tested after learning. Through the statistical analysis of tests in each group to investigate various forms of the sample study effect and students’ sample learning ability. The experimental results showed that the students from grade three to grade five had a certain sample leaning ability, and students’ ability to study sample will be raised increasingly with their grade increasing, thus the differences of study was significantly obvious between various grades. There was also difference between four sample learning groups, for example, the tag and slide groups’ scores much better than mixed group. In the study of primary Chinese, the sample study also can be adopted, and it would be better to combine that with other teaching methods.
