The role of classroom lead-in is very important as the initial part of classroom teaching in the middle-school chemistry, though it takes classroom little time, the proportion in classroom teaching is small. Effective classroom lead-in can transfer the students’ attention into the classroom from the excitement in front of the classroom, can able to stimulate students’ interest in learning and motivation, can expand students’ thinking, and can make students take actively the initiative to participate in the teaching process, thus improving the chemistry classroom efficiency. Effective classroom lead-in needs to be designed and prepared carefully by teachers before the class. At the present, the studies for middle-school chemistry classroom lead-in are much less than that of mathematics, Chinese and English. The studies are most carried out in the theoretical study. In the actual teaching process, a lot of chemistry teachers did not attach importance to and make effective use of the classroom lead-in, leading to the students has little interest and enthusiasm in learning and the classroom teaching has low efficiency. The existing problems and solving strategies of middle-school chemistry classroom lead-in has been proposed in this paper under this background. The middle-school chemistry classroom lead-in has been studied systematically from the theory and teaching practice in this paper. The domestic and foreign literatures about classroom lead-in were searched by the literature method and all the literatures were read and analyzed. The importance of middle-school chemistry classroom lead-in, purpose and function of the effective classroom lead-in were summed up, and the principles and methods of effective classroom lead-in were put forwarded. At first, the questionnaire were made from both teachers and students, and then sum up overall and carefully the investigative results, which made us know the present status that the chemistry teachers make less use of classroom lead-in. Secondly, applied the classroom lead-in to the chemistry teaching practice, and summarized the teaching effect. The practical results show that the classroom lead-in is very much necessary, and the effect is significant:the effective classroom lead-in can simulate students’ learning motivation, increase the desire of exploring issues, and enhance the study enthusiasm. Therein, the methods of story lead-in, intuitive lead-in, contacting actual lead-in, and experimental lead-in are relatively effective.
