Researchers have been exploring the striking information processing ability of brain, such as the automatic, efficient and intuitive thinking. Although people’s cognitive efficiency adjusted well normally, high cognitive efficiency would occasionally go wrong, so we can see irrational phenomenon in life. Such as emotional impact on people’s perceptions.About the influence of emotion on decision-making, the researchers originally proposetd that emotion destroy the reasoning and decision-making rational thinking, but Berntson etc. suggest that it is too simple to explain the effect of the emotion in this way. Early decision-making theory proposed that "man is intuitive statisticians", people always seek the expected utility maximization when make decisions in uncertain situations. The utility means that decision making process is depends on the psychological satisfaction or the degree of enjoyment after we benefit from the decision-making, rather than depends on the benefit itself, the psychological subjective experience was called the utility by Bernouli. Human is not cold as the computer, they are creatures with emotion. By comparing the perception processing of happiness individual and sadness individual, researchers already realized the emotion influence on perception processing Researchers already reveals how will affect cognitive activity. Emotion is a part of the background of the psychological activity, emotion can drive individuals acticity, affect the person’s thinking and action. Emotion one of the importan f actors that influence decision making. We can classify the emotion as positive emotion and negative emotions, different emotions may has different effect to decision making. Study has found that different emotion have different influence on decision-making under uncertain situation, individual tend to make a pessimistic judgment and choice in negative emotional state, and optimistic judgment and choice in positive mood state.Decision-making confidence refers to the degree of the confidence that the individual think the decision they making is optimality when they making decisions or judgments. Decision-making confidence always exist as long as the individual making decision, decision-making confidence, in turn, have an influence on the decision making. Decision-making confidence is an important bridge between the cognitive process and emotion activity, it may be a basic element in the decision-making process. Past research mainly focused on the adults’confidence in decision making. Adopts the traditional choose one from two task paradigm, Byrnes explored the decision making of children and adults, and used the interview method to compare the strategies they used and the decision-making confidence. The result suggest that the decision of the adult were more optimal than the children, the more complicated of the decision, the greater of the difference. Adults use more strategies and more information than children when they evaluating the options, and adult more confident about their abilities than children. So decision-making confidence of the adult and children have difference, it is necessary to study the development of children’s confidence in the decision-making.To explore how emotion impact on children’s confidence in the decision-making, this study use3kinds of emotional images that with different affective value to evok different emotion of children in grade3and grade5.Past research proposed that the frequency that individual change their option in decision-making can reflect the their confidence to the option, the more they change their option, the more they under-confidence about their option; the less they change their option, the more they confident., by analyzing how often the children in grade3and grade5change their option in different emotion in the line length judgment task, this research find the children in grade3change option more often than the children in grade5; the children in grade5tend to keep their option in positive emotion. The result suggest that the decision-making confidence of children in grade5is greater than children in grade3; the children in grade5more confidence about their option in positive emotion than in negative emotion and neutral emotion.
