With the development of science and technology, media with its combination of sound, light, electricity and film plays a more important role in our daily life, it even is changing our ways of studying and living。This kind of impact also influences the education and teaching in our school, while the use of media has changed the traditional boring teaching method, made the teaching methods and content rich and changed the ways of students’ accepting information. If Chinese teachers can use media reasonably and accurately, then they can arouse their interest and enthusiasm in learning Chinese, which increases the efficiency of class teaching, most importantly, in this way helps to develop students’ abilities of observing, expressing, imagine and appreciating beauty and therefore improves their comprehensive quality. Media is sure to become an indispensable medium of students’ life in the future. With the study of media, it will also become an important way of studying.Media makes students accept it more easily because it’s very visual and vivid. The texts in the teaching material are all chosen by experienced writers, they are the best with unique experience and long time selection, while some student are not interested in them because they tend to have little experience in reading, therefore they can’t totally understand the texts. However, media which has the combination of texts and films will attract students and help them understand abstract texts. After the teacher has chosen media, he shouldn’t replace texts with films. Media can only act as a kind of supplement and auxiliary, students still should focus on texts.In the Jiangsu college entrance exam system, famous works reading is compulsory. In order to arouse students’ interests and efficiency of reading, media is a very good way.Nowadays students grow up in front of TV sets; therefore imaginary thinking is their feature instead of rational thinking, which is a good way to increase efficiency in Chinese teaching and be aimed at different content and targets. Choosing media can help to develop students’ perceptivity, observation, imagination, expression and appreciation for beauty. In a word, it aims to develop students’ sensitivity of life and learn Chinese from life itself. No matter in the long run or in the short term, reading and writing are rather important in high school Chinese teaching. These new medium information can help to broaden students’horizons, enrich their writing materials, and at the same time, stimulate their ability of imitation, in this way increase the efficiency.In reality, choosing and using media must be suitable for their psychology, teaching aims and teaching content, making this method an assistant for content and targets rather than a kind of disturbance which affects the efficiency. Teaching and learning are not fixed, because the target audiences are lively and changeable individuals, therefore, when using media, teachers should consider students as well as content and targets. After all-round thinking, teachers should maximize the assistant function over the process of Chinese teaching.
