The thesis starts with the concept of image-text transformation and its categories.Afterwards,the images in the college entrance examinations of last five years were analyzed,which shows the features of the examination questions on the image-text transformation.Generally,three categories are presented,including chart-text transformation,image-text transformation and text-image transformation.The three forms of questions are found in the reading comprehension,the questions on language using and composition.From the analysis above,the thesis tries to explore the strategies to answer questions on image-text transformation by studying the questions in the examination.The chart-text transformation is usually in the form of multiple choice.The image-text transformation is more complicated,like analyzing the implied meaning of a passage,concluding the frame of a passage in one sentence,and reasoning.What's more,it appears in the examination in three forms: multiple choice,short answer questions and composition.The text-image transformation is the easiest,because it just appears in the form of multiple choice.Based on the study,the thesis brings image-text transformation back to Chinese teaching classes and manages to find out the connection between image-text transformation and senior high school Chinese textbook(PEP edition).It also intends to ponder over the forms of image-text transformation and probe into the current situation of image-text transformation in the review lessons in Senior Three.Furthermore,this chapter reflects on how Chinese teachers can improve the students' ability to cope with this type of questions and how Chinese teachers can make good use of the images in the textbook to promote their teaching.In conclusion,the thesis studies the image-text transformation in the college entrance examination of last five years to build the image-text transformation system,explore the problem solving methods and rules for image-text transformation,build the connection of image-text transformation and textbooks and classes.
