Due to the need for its own development, internationalization of higher education has become an irreversible trend in the context of economic globalization. This thesis, based on an extensive literature, analyzes the opportunities and challenges facing China’s higher education in the era of globalization, defines related concepts concerning internationalization and its main contents, introduces the corresponding policies adopted by Chinese government in promoting the internationalization of higher education and brings forward the counter-measures in further enhancing internationalization of higher education and points out some possible problems by taking the internationalized education of Central China Normal University as an example. The main contents are as follows:Chapter Ⅰ analyzes the opportunities and challenges facing China’s higher education in the era of globalization;Chapter Ⅱ defines related concepts concerning internationalization and its main contents;Chapter Ⅲ introduces the corresponding policies adopted by Chinese government in promoting the internationalization of higher education;Chapter Ⅳ points out the main problems in internationalization of higher education;Chapter Ⅴ brings forward the countermeasures in further enhancing internationalization of higher education;Chapter Ⅵ displays the issues that should be paid attention to in the course of internationalization of higher education.
