School motto is the core of the college history accumulation and spiritual culture, andembodies the college managing strategies, education philosophy and the cultural heritage.The ideological and political education of colleges and universities with a motto schoolspirit guiding, could improve the students’ ideological and political qualities and mentalconsciousness, train them and bring up the noble thought quality and the good moraltutelage, thus the shaping of ideal personality accomplished. Ideological and politicaleducation resources are the basis and premise of ideological and political education incolleges and universities, and play an important role in promoting the goals of theideological and political education. The study of the relationship and transformationbetween school motto and the ideological and political education, will promote thedevelopment of the theory of ideological and political education resources, and optimizethe reasonable configuration of the ideological and political education resources.The general thinking of this study is that analyzing relationship—proposing remedialmeasures—proving an example. With the method of documents, data analysis and casestudy, the starting point of this study is from the relationship between school motto andideological and political education of colleges and universities and the point ofpenetration is the motto of agricultural colleges and universities. Anhui AgricultureUniversity is a special example. The purpose is digging out a suitable direction for theconstruction of school motto and planning a reasonable route for reasonable utilizationand transformation.Based on discussing the study and the value of research, the study refers to full-blownconclusion. Train of thought and method are expounded. The innovation and thedeficiency are pointed out.Theoretical basis and research status are expounded concretely. This part analyzed theconnotations and characteristics of school motto and ideological and political educationresources from angles of philosophy, pedagogy and politics. By applying of logic ofscience, in the view of a gradually expanding trend among school motto, ideological andpolitical education resources and education resources, the dialectical relationship betweenthe two is summed up. The countermeasures of the rational allocation.According to "the possibility of realization—effect factors—how to realize the" steps, it is thought deeply that how to realize the conversion from school motto to ideologicaland political education resources. Because there is a fit between the two, thetransformation is possible. At the present stage, Influence factors of transformation are asfollows: construction of school motto, subject and object of education, educationenvironment. The countermeasures are as follows: optimizing the culture construction inuniversities, sing the main melody of school motto culture; improving the dominant forceof the subject and object of education, strengthening the construction of campus culturetalents; creating good educational environment, completing the system of characteristicsof campus culture.In order to further prove the feasibility,the study followed a principle from theparticular to the genera. With taking the higher agricultural colleges and universities as aresearch subject, the study analyzed the specific situation of Anhui Agriculture University.At the same time, the study pointed out the direction of the motto of construction ofagricultural colleges, in order to perfect the construction of school motto of agriculturalcolleges and universities.
