The twenty-first Century is an information age. Reading is an indispensable ability for people to get knowledge.The reading ability,with the purpose of getting knowledge and information, is not only related to the academic performance of students, but also related to the future quality of life. Therefore, modern people pay more and more attention to the cultivation of reading ability.Reading ability is one of the basic elements of middle school students’ learning ability. To cultivate students’ ability of reading is to cultivate students’ ability to learn, which can lay a solid foundation for their lifelong learning. Based on junior high school biology textbooks and materials related to the subject characteristics, the characteristics of biology teaching in junior middle school and junior high school students reading psychology, teachers can try to explore how to cultivate students’ reading ability in the biology teaching in junior middle school, and how to develop the students’ good reading habits and guide students correct and effective reading method,which can improve the classroom teaching effect and promote the ability of students’ learning by themselves and individual development.Based on the understanding of youth reading psychology foundation, on the basis of the zone of proximal development theory, constructivism theory, learning before teaching mode, the integrated use of the literature research method, interview method, questionnaire survey method, experience summary method, study on the cultivation of students reading ability in middle school biology teaching strategy, first of all analysis of three basic elements:Teaching in classroom teaching, teachers and students, the elements in the role of the students’ reading ability, and put forward the teaching is divided into three aspects:Preview "read","read" cooperation,"read a review".Research shows that:in the classroom teaching in accordance with the preview "read","read" cooperation, review and consolidate "read" the three links, and promote the transformation of teaching concept, stimulate their interest in biology of junior high school students, to enhance students’ autonomous reading, gradually formed a good habit of reading, and master the methods and skills of reading, improve reading ability of junior middle school students.
