As a practical activity to promote human development and self-improvement, education exerts great influence on the entire social progress and changing. Teachers’ professional activities have been woven into children’s world and even the whole nation. In February2012, the Ministry of Education issued a series of professional standards for teachers in kindergarten, primary and secondary school, which provides the value orientation, reference standards and system basis for teachers’professional development.The whole society lays great emphasis on education and it expects to achieve continuous improvement of national education by promoting teachers’professional ability. However, we must realize that the teachers’training is historical because the development requirements and measures are based on people’s acquaintance of human education in different times. What’s more, the teachers’training also has realistic meaning, for people can only promote constant progress effectively by regarding teachers’current situation as a starting point.A Germany culture educator Spranger once addressed:The ultimate goal of education is not to pass on what we have already known, but to inspire students’ creativity and to arouse their senses of life and value. Based on such an argument, our education and teachers’occupational life are not in a good shape. This thesis closely studied a nine-year school by investigating, interviewing, narrating and other methods. Moreover, it records, analyzes and further studies teachers’occupational condition in compulsory stage, which aims to highlight teachers’occupational value and ambition, emotional experience and expression, present working condition and self-enjoyment, and professional adaption and development. During the studying process, the author tried to perceive teachers’happiness and sadness of their career and analyze the reasons for the existing problems and then propose some certain solutions.There are reassuring facts in teachers’career. For example, teachers can fully understand the value of their career, the hardship of the education reform, the importance of educators’feelings and the promotion function from teachers’ professional development. However, teachers who are still in their positions actually face numerous difficulties and dilemmas.As for the ultimate cause of depressed teaching career in compulsory stage, it bears not only specific inner causes, but also external causes. Teachers’personal defects, career depression and lacking initiative of pursuing the career promotion subjectively lead to the their career embarrassment. Meanwhile, external causes worth our attention, i.e. education problem strongly suppresses teachers’career; the mode of school operation contributes more restriction to teachers; the reform of the curriculum challenges teachers, and the absence of social educational function, family education, the home-school trust and cooperative consciousness. All the influential factors above make teachers face immense challenges and difficulties, which is doomed to set teachers’occupational condition in depression.As one of the educators in middle school, I think that the improvement of teachers’ occupational condition, the enhancement of teachers’satisfaction and senses of pride play a critical role in the educational transformation as well as the educational reform.To conclude, teachers and educational system will finally find their way to origins under the condition of the clarification of educational purpose, the respect of educational rules, the reform of school management, the establishment of a strong system supported by the whole society, the stimulation of teachers’ self-awareness for development.
