Influences Of Socialist Market Economy On Today’s University Students’ Values And Research Of Its Countermeasures

As a leading factor in people’s spiritual realm, values dominate the changes of people’s ideas, people’s pursuit and people’s thinking and behavior. Under the circumstances of socialist market economy, due to the system’s renewal and the differentiation and recombination of social interest relation, there have been huge changes in the aspect of politics, economy, culture, etc. Social economy has developed rapidly; communications between countries have become more and more frequent; Chinese and western culture always has continuous collisions, conflicts and fusions. All of these greatly influence values which are the core of culture, especially today’s university students’ values, which display the characteristics of pluralism and complexity. As a result, educations of today’s university students’values have always been a very important part of political and ideological education in high schools and it is closely related to the problems---what kind of student high schools want to cultivate and how to. Studies of today’s university students’values have many·positive meanings to, for example, how to guide them to play an important role in the market economy, how to promote the benign cycle of the society and how to lead society to develop to a good direction rapidly and orderly. On the basis of research results at home and abroad, this paper begins with the relationship between socialist market economy and today’s university students’ values, logically analyzes double influences of market economy on today’s university students’ values and its reasons, and then approach strategies and suggestions of developing today’s university students’ values.The first part:relationship between socialist market economy and today’s university students’ values. I begins this paper with analyzing the characteristics of socialist market economy, expounds specific representations of today’s university students, and then mainly states that the development of socialist market economy plays a very important role in the formation of today’s university students’ values.The second part:double influences of socialist market economy on today’s university students’ values. The development of socialist market economy has brought positive and negative effects on today’s university students’values. From the point of view of mainstream, market economy has positive effects in many aspects, for example, positive political attitude, high level understanding of moral, strong self-consciousness and independence, emphasizing dedication and reasonable request of the value of life. Meanwhile, we can also see, the nature of market economy is a kind of interest relation or money relation, and it has negative effects on today’s university students’ values, such as utilitarianism, money worship, etc. Therefore, negative effect of market economy is a very important factor. In addition, deficiency of political work in high schools, unhealthy social atmosphere, and university students’ own problems can not be ignored as well.The third part:strategy studies of today’s university students’ values under the circumstances of socialist market economy. First, we should establish today’s university students’ value system which is coordinate with the development of socialist market economy. The proposal of the socialist core value system gives us a clear direction of how to correctly guide today’s university students to set up correct and scientific value system. Second, if high schools want to play a leading role in values’ education, they have to strengthen the construction of teaching staff. Third, we should purify economic atmosphere, political atmosphere and cultural atmosphere, providing today’s university students with healthy social atmosphere. Last, today’s university students should give play to their subjective initiative, strengthen self-construction and improve their ability of self-education.
