Reseach Of Distirbution Characteristics In Overweight And Obesity Of Adults In Hebei Province

Obesity is a chronic disease which is caused by an excessive accumulation of body fatand it may have a close relationship with many chronic noncommunicable diseases. Now inboth developed countries and developing countries, the incidence of obesity gradually showsan upward trend which is common in the world, the World Health Organization (WHO) statedthat obesity has become an important public health problem.Through statistics analysis of physique monitoring data between2005and2010in hebeiprovince, this article explores the incidence of obesity and overweight distribution of adultpopulation in different ages, different regions and different gender and also discusses thetendency of changes, aiming to offer references to prevent and control overweight andobesity.The findings and conclusions are as follows：Firstly, there is a gender difference about the overweight and obesity in Hebei Province,the male ratio of overweight and obesity is higher than the female’s. With the lifemodernization, the overweight rates and obesity rates of male and overweight rates of femalehave been increasing year by year, while the obesity rates of female has declined slightly.Secondly, the overweight rates and obesity rates of adults in Hebei rises together withtheir ages, and happens among younger adult population. The peak of overweight and obesityoccurs in an earllier age, and people at40-54-years-old are in high risk of obesity.Thirdly, there are regional differences among of the overweight and obesity rates,especially the city of Hengshui and Handan.Fourthly, the rates of male in town and female in village are higher than other places.Fifthly, life, diet, and exercise habits are the important factors that influence the rate ofoverweight and obesity of adult population in Hebei.
