Honesty is the traditional virtue of our nation. College students is the talents of highereducation and the hope of our country and society. To do well in college students’examination honesty is significant to enhance college students morality, the quality of thenational, social morality, and to promote the cultivation of the socialist core values. Currently,many colleges and universities are confronted with a common issue of college students’examination honesty. The college, be its character or location, to some extent, lack ofhonesty in examination. The cheating rate in some college students reached83%,which hasbeen very serious and aroused the attention of the society.In the face of the examination honesty of college students, this paper extracts severalfactors which effect examination honesty of contemporary college students. On the basis ofcomprehensive factors influencing the examination honesty, this paper designs thequestionnaire and makes an on-the-spot investigation. After a thorough investigation, thispaper connects between theory and practice, summarizes the present situation of the lackexamination honesty among college students, analyzes multi-level reasons that causes the lackof honesty of college students and puts forward practical countermeasures to solve theproblem of lacking examination honesty among college students.Besides introduction, there are three parts in this paper.Part I This paper makes an investigation of the status of examination honesty amongcollege students. To really understand the comprehensive and real situation of honesty inexamination, this paper makes an on the spot investigation to a college in a Hebei province,which based on system research and reasonable researched subject. Making an on-the-spotinvestigation in a college of Hebei province, this paper found85%of the surveyed studentsoften encounter or sometimes encounter cheat on examinations. This paper also finds moststudents are indifferent to the cheat in examinations. Although most students approve thehonesty in examinations, interestingly, these students are not positive about solving theproblem. This paper counts options of the questionnaire, conducts a preliminary analysis, andSummarizes the current condition of the honesty in college students’ examination. Part II This paper analyze the reasons that cause college students lack the honesty inexaminations. Based on the research result of the honesty in examinations among collegestudents, this paper analyzes the problems of the honesty in examinations among collegestudents. There are many reasons causing this phenomenons:Firstly, the problem exists instudents themselves. Some students’ value of integrity is wrong. Ater entering the college,some students are relaxed to their ideological cultivation. Besides, these students pursue thenotion of personal interest value first, influencing the fairness and justice of the exam.Secondly, the problem exists in college education. College education mechanism is notsound. The teaching mode and the evaluation mechanism are imperfect. Honesty education inexaminations is not ecough. Examination system is expansing. Thirdly, the problem exists inthe family. The honesty concept among the parents of college students is not complete. Thepressure from the parents who expect their children to get good scores influence the honestyin examinations. Lastly, the problem exists in social cultural environment. The employer isoriented and towards toward certificate and score. Decline in social moral standards, pressurefrom the parents and negative factors in traditional culture are all reasons that cause collegestudents dishonest in the examination.Part III This paper introduces the countermeasures. The issue of honesty in examinationsamong college students is very urgent and we must take various measures to solve it. Firstly,college students should strengthen self-discipline, adjusting their learning attitude, advocatingmoral standards, cultivating the sense of justice and peace mentality. Secondly, Collegesshould play the leading role in the management of the examination honesty among collegestudents. We should strengthen the integrity education of college students, improving theexamination room management, strengthening supervision and punishment. Thirdly, thecollege should speed up the reform process of the higher education system, carrying outquality education, improving the curriculum, reforming the inspection way, strengthening thesystem construction. Fourthly, family should play the positive role in the examination honestyof the college students’, ascending parents concept of integrity, improving the awareness ofexamination honesty. Fifthly, Society should create a good atmosphere of integrity, promotingpositive energy and integrity culture, overcoming the negative effects of harmful phenomenon in society. We should we should properly understand and overcome theinfluence of adverse factors in the society and traditional culture.This paper demonstrate the examination honesty among college students by means ofliterature research method, questionnaire method, system analysis method,etc.College students’ lack of examination honesty is comprehensive and persistent. Thesolution is long standing and need multi-faceted approach. By studying the summarymeasures, we are to create a good environment examination honesty for college students,giving full play to the advantages of colleges and universities in the lead of the developmentof society and culture, making colleges an advantage status in directing the social culture.
