Currently, in the background of appreciation education and innovation education, such asthe new education idea gradually into the heart, classroom reward for its incentive andeducational value, gradually becomes a used kind method of classroom teaching andmanagement of primary school’s teacher. On the one hand, reasonable classroom rewards canstimulate the pupils’ intrinsic motivation, and form a good self-efficacy, and it has a greatsignificance to pupils’ physical and mental growth. On the other hand, when teachers arisedeviation in cognition and use the deviation on the perception of the rewards, it will lead to aseries of negative effects, such as the classroom rewards’ dependence, destroy the learningmotivation and so on. If teachers despise or didn’t take some effective measures to prevent andweaken its negative effects, that will subtly restricts the pupils’ physical and mental healthygrowth. This study is trying to research the classroom reward’s negative effects, causes andcountermeasure.This study is divided into six parts.The first part is introduction, including the question of origin, the basic introduction ofliterature review, research methods and research significance.The second part of this research defines the core concepts. Classroom reward refers to theteacher in the process of classroom teaching, in order to stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm,facilitate classroom management, and on students’ specific performance, it contains the meaningof affirmation and praise. The negative effects of classroom reward refers to the teacher in theprocess of classroom teaching, in order to stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm, facilitateclassroom management, and this teaching method causes lots of negative influences on pupils’physical and mental growth.The third part analyzes the current situation and value of primary school classroom reward.The fourth part tries to from the Angle of psychology and pedagogy, using the methods ofobservation and interview, combined theoretical description and empirical material analysis form,discusses the negative effects of classroom rewards on pupils. Among them, the author mainly discusses the negative effects of classroom rewards on pupils’ learning and socialitydevelopment.The fifth part from the view of teachers’ wrong cognition of classroom reward, improper use,and lack of compensation strategies discusses the reason of the classroom reward’s negativeeffectsThe sixth part is based on the negative effects and the reason of classroom reward, from theangle of the classroom cognition, use and compensation, proposes lot of avoidance strategies.Basic position is: there is no right or wrong of classroom reward itself, the spotlight is notthe problem of "use or not" or "more or less", but the problem of "how to understand and how touse classroom reward”. We should have a positive attitude, by reasonably using andcompensation strategies, effectively to weaken and avoid classroom reward’s negative effects onpupils.
