Preschool education is the important part of national education system and the foundation of basic education.Preschool education is vital to children’s healthy growth and lifelong development, to the happiness of thousands of households, and to the future of the country and the people.Rural education plays a significant role in building a well-off society. The rural preschool education is not only related to the development of basic education in rural areas, but also related to the coordinated development of rural society and economy."The national medium and long term program for education reform and development (2010-2020)"points out that the development goal of preschool education in China is the universal of preschool education, and points out that the focus and potential development of preschool education in our country is the rural preschool education.Therefore, we should vigorously promote the development of rural preschool education, which has far-reaching significance to improve the overall quality and efficiency of basic education in rural areas.In recent two years, Chongyang County of Hubei province actively promotes the development of rural preschool education, which has made some achievement, but also faces some problems.This paper mainly adopts interview method, literature method, observe method, concluding the present condition of the Chongyang County preschool education, summing up the experiences and achievements of Chongyang County preschool education, analyzing the existed problems in the development.According to the rule of the development of preschool education and the requirement of social development, the paper forwards proposals for the reform and development of rural preschool education, in order to provide reference and reference theory for the education administrative department and the relevant units of the development of rural preschool education.This thesis consists of six parts.The first part is introduction. It introduces the significance of the topic, combs the existing relevant research results, gives the definition of related concepts, and explains the research methods.The second part introduces the current situation of the development of preschool education in rural areas of Chongyang County from the aspects of preschool education scale, teaching conditions.The third part introduces the basic experiences of Chongyang County. It sums up Chongyang County preschool education development achievements from the aspects of scientific and rational plan, standardized management system, improvement of the infrastructure.The fourth part finds some main problems of preschool education in rural areas of Chongyang, including the fund gap, inadequate protection of private kindergarten teachers, the difficult management of private kindergarten, the danger in the kindergarten traffic safety.The fifth part analyzes the problems of Chongyang County rural preschool education development.The sixth part puts forward effective suggestions on the reform and development of preschool education in Chongyang County.
