With the development of entrepreneurial economy and the urgent need for entrepreneurial talents for various trades, entrepreneurial education has been attached more importance by a wide cross-section of society.What’s more, the21st century will become a new era for the progress of entrepreneurial economy. Since the16th Party Congress, our Party and the government have gradually elevated the cultivation of university students’ innovation as well as the guidance and encouragement of university students’entrepreneurship to the strategic height of national development. In the17th Party Congress, the direction of "promoting employment with entrepreneurship" is clearly demonstrated. In the report of the18th Party Congress,"leading workers to change employment notions, encouraging various kinds of channels and forms of employment, promoting entrepreneurship to bring along employment, doing well in the employment of young people with college and university graduates as the key points"were put forward again. Promoting entrepreneurial education in colleges and universities has been an important strategy to build an innovation-oriented country and to boost the development of economic society well and fast. Under this background, colleges and universities, as a main force to train high-quality talents, are charged with vital missions to improve the development of entrepreneurial education and cultivate talents with overall entrepreneurial qualities. Promoting entrepreneurial education in colleges and universities is of great significance to the development and cultivation of innovation-oriented economy, country and talents.Therefore, this research studies and explores theoretical basis, current situation, cases and methods of undergraduates’ entrepreneurial education in China with the15-year development of college entrepreneurial education experience as a good opportunity.First, this thesis demonstrates the research background, purposes and significance and introduces literature review both in China and abroad on the basis of pervious researches. It puts forward research thoughts and research methods.Second, it studies basic theories of university entrepreneurial education in China. By gathering, sorting out and studying the literatures, this research defines the concepts of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education and college entrepreneurial education, untangles the relationship among college entrepreneurial education, innovation education and employment education, analyzes elements of college entrepreneurial education and the relation between them, summarizes main characters of college entrepreneurial education and introduces involving innovative theories, entrepreneurial motivation theories, creativity theories and so on.Third, it studies the situation of college entrepreneurial education. From investigation, it divides the different phases of college entrepreneurial education, summarizes great achievements of the development of college entrepreneurial education and discusses existing problems and the reasons in the advancement of entrepreneurial education.Forth, this thesis compares with the successful cases about entrepreneurial education both in China and abroad. Based on the analysis of the cases of Stanford and Cambridge, it studies the development progress of entrepreneurial education of these two universities and summarizes their successful experience of entrepreneurial education in an effort to provide reference for entrepreneurial education in China.Last, it explores the directions of entrepreneurial education of Chinese undergraduates. According to the analysis of the current situation and these two successful cases, this thesis suggests that we should use "how to stimulate college students’willingness and courage to start a business" as the guidance. It also puts forward some methods to promote development of college entrepreneurial education such as building a good environment of entrepreneurial education, designing systemic courses about entrepreneurship, expanding practical methods of entrepreneurial education, building a diverse team with teachers and establishing perfect guarantee system of entrepreneurial education.
