The investigation objects of this survey are the Chinese volunteer teachers in2013who were dispatched to Korean junior high schools by Hanban as Chinese languageteachers. From the questionnaires and interview about how to chose the video materialsfor their Chinese classes, we can find that every teacher agreed with that video materialsare important for the class. The videos can make a direct excitation for the students whowere learning Chinese abroad, outside China. They can make a language environment,attract the interest of students and help students improve the ability of listening andspeaking. For the Korean junior school students, because of their own important feature,they will have many special requirements for the videos in class. At the same time,teachers have to deal with much more problems.There are five parts of my investigation report. The first one is Introduction thatsummarizing why I chose this topic and theories and point views of someexperts and scholars.The second part is the current state of the use of video materials in Korean juniorschools including the survey method and the survey results.The third part analyses the problems and causes of the use of video materials in theChinese classes. The analysis Include the teaching process and the video material itself.The fourth part makes suggestion to the Chinese teachers when they use the video toteach Chinese.The Conclusion is the end of the report. It summarize all the above and thank all theChinese volunteer teachers.I hope this investigation is useful to study teaching Chinese as a second language forKorean students.
