The map is the replacement of all words, texts and thinking in geography. It is an important tool of cultivating students in scientific literacy and cultural literacy. It plays an irreplaceable role in geography teaching in middle school. With the promulgation of the new geography course standard and the reform of the middle school geography foundation, as well as the rapid development of computer technology, especially geographic information technology, the application of digital map in the middle school geography teaching is becoming more and more widely available and the cartography and research of digital map in the middle school geography teaching are getting the attention of educators and researchers. Under this background, the research of digital map production and application for middle school geography teaching well be very meaningfulBecause of the contradiction between the specialization of geography information technology and the low computer teaching ability, digital map teaching is hard to promote and popularize. Therefore, it is meaningful to do some research in simple production methods and application platform about digital map teaching. In this paper, the author contact the main content of the middle school geography teaching, analyze the results of the questionnaire of middle school, put forward the limitations of traditional map in the middle school geography teaching, discusses the roles and advantages of digital map in middle school geography teaching, introduces and compares four kinds of convenient and quick way of computer mapping and use middle school geography teaching platform discussing the research of concrete application of digital map from two ways of natural geography and human geography knowledge from the middle school geography teaching.The first part of this paper is the introduction. It introduces the topic background of this article, research significance, analyzes the research and application status of digital teaching maps, and illustrates the research ideas and methods, main features and innovations of this article.The second part of this paper concludes that the traditional map in geography teaching in middle school "has three problems" and the characteristics and advantages of digital teaching maps by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and digital map.The third part of this paper is based on the design, process and results of the questionnaire. First of all, introduce the choice of questionnaire investigation object, the design of the questionnaire and the questionnaire for the issues related to the purpose briefly. Secondly put forward the problems of the digital map in the middle school geography teaching existing in the process and to be solved urgently, through such as the statistical analysis of the questionnaire, from which the usage of students for teaching maps, use feeling and master the situation, the effect on map teaching from four aspects, such as looking forward to the effect of the frequency of using digital map teaching from teachers, type, views, knowledge of digital maps of the graphics and mastering four aspects carries on the analysis.The fourth part is the focus of this article, according to the results of the questionnaire analysis, elaborated the middle school geography teaching the four types of application of digital map function demand analysis, put forward four kinds of middle school geography teaching oriented development method and the concrete process of digital maps and comparative analysis. ArcGIS for secondary development, construct the simplified teaching platform.The fifth part of this paper is for the application of digital map in the middle school geography teaching case study. Use middle school geography teaching platform and digital maps from the aspects of natural geography and human geography teaching design. Finally, it is about the implementation of experiment class and common class of test scores and test scores of comparative analysis, and then conclude the role and advantage of digital map in middle school geography teaching.The sixth part is conclusion and prospect, this paper studies the basic conclusions and the research of this paper is insufficient, in the face and the study of middle school.This paper is based on middle school geography teaching, which adopts theoretical analysis, questionnaire survey and the method of combining the teaching practice,/.It is valuable for middle school geograghy teachers to apply digital maps into teaching by referring to this paper.
