As a unique expression of children, drawing are significant important for children's development, so teachers and parents have become an increasing concern with it. With the development of society and improvement of living standards, choices of drawing tools available for children are also increasingly diverse. There are many studies on children's painting at home, but the existing children's drawing tools researches have been not enough in-depth system. The drawing tool is an important medium for the performance of drawing. Will painting tools affect children's self-expression? How does that impact? Based on the relationship between drawing tools and children's self-expression, this study will start research about drawing tool's impact on the drawing manifestation of children who aged four to five.This research will start in two major areas:(1) The devoting and usage of drawing tools in kindergarten and family. We mainly used questionnaire and hope that we can know about the situation of the devoting and usage of drawing tools in kindergarten and at home through questionnaire survey. We also expect to analyze the drawing manifestation's impact which affected by different painting tools for authors and make recommendations to provide supplementary educational materials and information. The results showed that: Although the kindergarten and family has become increasingly been rich in the types of drawing tools, children often use relatively simple drawing tools; the use of drawing tools in kindergarten exhibits some kind of patterns; Despite parents are willing to spend money on children's drawing tools, however, their purposes are not clear.(2) Experiment research on the impact of children's drawing manifestation which affected by different drawing tools. We primarily use experimental and works analysis to collect drawings which children use different drawing tools to perform the same content. We come to different painting Characteristics of Representations of tools and to explore the painting tools'impact on painting Representation, by comparing and summarizing, from representation content and skills these two parts. The results showed that:the drawing tools may affect children's characterization of interest; hard brush tool suit for representation drawing and soft brush tool is more suitable for emotional catharsis and creative expression for children, while the fine line pen in hard brush is the most appropriate for children's detailed representation. In addition, there is certain contradiction between the identity of children's interest in drawing tools and representation effects.Through research and analysis of the above contents, for many problems existed in life, we proposed such suggestions:to enhance the purpose of parent's put the drawing tool; to provide opportunities of free exploring multifarious drawing tools and materials for children; increase the opportunity of exploring soft brush and paint in artist area; put basic drawing tools in various spontaneous games.
