| The New Curriculum Standard of Elementary School Mathematics emphasizes that it should stimulate students’interest in mathematics learning, build confidence and develop mathematical expression ability and communication consciousness. And also requires learning evaluation that should focus on students’ learning process and pay attention to the change of students’ emotion, attitude and values, etc. Mathematics diary refers to express what you have learned, thought, heard, seen, doubted and mathematics-related activities in the form of words. This new method that initiates knowledge and skills pays attention to both students’ cognitive development and emotional education, even builds a harmonious relationship between teachers and students.This paper presents the practice process and research results about cultivating the sixth grade students’mathematics emotion utilizing mathematics diary under the direction of The New Curriculum Standard of Elementary School Mathematics, Humanism—need Theory, Constructivism Theory, Meta-cognitive Theory and Reflective Mathematics Learning Theory.The article shows the main research work and achievements:First, defining the six types of math diary for class diary, exchange diary, emotion diary, reflection diary, life diary and innovation diary; expounding the eight functions of mathematics diary, namely interest stimulation, reflection to explore, mathematics communication, ability training, self-supervision, development evaluation, adjust-improvement and harmonious relationship between teachers and students.Second, according to the elementary student’s psychological and cognitive characteristics, this paper puts forward the main principles that are followed in the methods of teaching sixth grade math diary of motivated, oneness, pertinence, timeliness, guiding, practicality, heavy raising sexually and step-by-step. Then it designs several writing template of mathematics diary, and summarizes the five guidelines on the implementation of elementary school mathematics diary:the teacher’s correcting attitude to the diary, determining the writing goal, designing the content carefully, strengthening the specific guidance, carrying out the evaluation timely.Third, before the implementation of math diary, get to know elementary students’mathematics cognitive and schoolwork burden by means of questionnaire and draw a conclusion that math diary practice is feasible. According to the understanding of mathematics emotional target in The New Curriculum Standard of Elementary School Mathematics (2012edition), the writer puts forward the five dimensions about elementary school mathematics emotion goal and compiles the "primary school mathematics learning emotional status questionnaire" as emotional value measurement scale before and after the experiment, then selects six students as the experimental contrast object according to the emotional value of pretest.Fourth, after the implementation of math diary, by means of contrast analysis the experimental data and case study come to the conclusion:a. Keeping a mathematics diary to a certain extent makes student boost the interest in learning mathematics, improve the preview, review and reflection on learning habits, enhance self-confidence, cultivate the ability to observe and writing, improve the math scores.b.
