Strategic Research On Developing Million Population’s Megalopolis Of Yibin

With the rapid development of industrialization in China, urban construction develops speedily, urban population size expands gradually and urban hierarchy elevates increasingly. However, the elevation of urban hierarchy means remarkable enhancement of urban radiation effect, accumulation effect and scale effect’and gradual perfection on function of urban hinterland essentially, promoting development of regional economy and narrowing gap of regional interior consequently.Firstly, based on the background and purpose of the project, the dissertation points the economic environment of fostering million population’s megalopolis in Sichuan province. Consequently the point indicates the policy support and policy orientation of developing million population’s megalopolis of Yibin; also, by means of literature research method, the dissertation explores current research situation of megalopolis, summarizes related theories and connotations of megalopolis and forms the literature basis and theory basis of developing million population’s megalopolis of Yibin. Besides, by means of inductive and deductive method, aiming at the entire situation of megalopolis in China, the-dissertation summarizes the developing tendency and features of them and forms realistic basis and experience directions for developing million population’s megalopolis of Yibin. Moreover, by means of comparative analysis method, the dissertation compares megalopolis in China with Yibin in four indices such as economic development, urban size, public service level and urban infrastructure construction and presents the necessity of developing million population’s megalopolis of Yibin. Furthermore, by means of SWOT method, the dissertation makes a systematic and strategic explanations and analyses of the interior advantages and disadvantages, exterior opportunities and risks of Yibin. Finally, from industrial structure, spatial layout, urban comprehensive functions and infrastructure construction, the dissertation proposes measures and directions which have stronger directive meaning and reference value for developing million population’s megalopolis.
