Today, the new curriculum reform has a steadily implementation. The imbalance ofteacher resources and professional development are important influence factors of teachingquality. The Middle School Teachers’ Professional Standard requires teachers develop theirprofessional level through taking part in trainings. While the normal universities and colleges,as the main institutions of undertaking the teachers training tasks, begin to adjust the trainingplans. But the normal universities and colleges also find the teacher education forms existingproblems. In order to solving the teacher training’s bewilderment and improving the promotedegree to teacher’s professional development, people accept the unique practical value ofLesson Study. This paper expounds a case of promoting biology teachers’ professionaldevelopment by lesson study in teacher training.After introduced to our country, lesson study as one research activity with themes,emerged model differences of regions and happened periodic change. When analyzing theliterature, the author found that practicing lesson study could integrate four way of teacher’sprofessional development and promote build teacher professional community. Lesson studyprovides positive significance to researching activities, relationship between teachers andstudents’ learning effect. As one of the managers, the author compares the basic mode and thepractical form of lesson study in biology teacher training, launches detailed expound about theorganizational mechanism, curriculum and practice process. The author builds the specialpattern of lesson study in biology teacher training.In the analysis phase, the author selects ‘The dream-seeker’ as the case of this paper,describes eight teachers’ personal information and the whole process of lesson study. Theauthor summarizes the three stages and ten steps of lesson study in biology teacher training.The author chooses the questionnaire survey and interview survey to collect information,suchas the training effect, the promote degree of teacher’s professional development and theimprovement of lesson study model. According to the case, the author indicatives theelements of teacher’s professional development from lesson study, and evaluates the promotedegree about teacher’s individual professional development and the teacher group’sprofessional development. Finally, according to the survey, the author thinks about thepractical advices of ‘The dream-seeker’, puts forward the implementation strategy of lessonstudy in biology teacher training.
