Family education in China has long history, and has accumulated rich family education experience. During the period of the Republic of China, with the development and changes of the society, the family and education were undergone a great change. Under this background, the family education thoughts also had the process of innovation. In this period of family education, some excellent education tradition thoughts were heritage, at the same time, some theory of child psychology and pedagogy the West were also accepted. In the process of transmission, absorption and reference, the family education in this period thoughts took on some new appetences and expand some new domains. These new thoughts and new domains have far-reaching influence to our country.The family education of the Republic of China is in the transition from the ancient family education to modern family education. Studying the family education of the Republic of China, It can help us overall understanding the development and distinctive features and also provide the experience and reference for the current family education.Through master and analysis literature, the author aim to show the characteristics and the historical value of the Republic of China. In addition to the introduction, this thesis mainly has the following four parts:Part1. The background of historical development in the period of the Republic of China. In this part, by analyzing the tradition family education thoughts and the education ideas in modern European and American, it reveal the unique historical development and the necessary to research.Part2. The analysis of the study on the family education research of the Republic of China. Combining with the other aspects, such as the press, research and professional fields, tease out and analysis the treatise in the Republic of China can make us grasp the development trends of the family education. Then it can put as the basic data for further study.Part3. The Evolution of family education thought in the period of the Republic of China. this part base on the family education treatise analysis, and combined the social influence factors of family education of the Republic of China, through five parts to analysis the modern transformation of family education:paying attention on the parents’ family education ability and quality, the child-orientation specific methods and principles of family education, actively explore the family education of different ages, think highly of the cooperation between the family and school on education, giving the family education law guarantee. It can show the real characteristics, significance and value that the family education of the Republic of China had.Part4. The valuation and enlightenment of the period of the Republic of China’s family education in contemporary. This part mainly based on the formed analysis to reflect on the problems of today’s family education and find the connection between the history and the reality. Seek after the causes of the history, so that the family education will benefit a lot from historical uses for reference in future.
