Family education is an eternal theme of human society. At different periods of history, family education showed a different nature and characteristics. Along with the tide of reform and opening, family education is increasingly being given more responsibility and greater significance, but also is becoming a major concern of social reality problem. But the research of family education has been very weak for a long time, and the lack of research has led to the significantly lower level of theory. In order to clarify the track of the changes of family education, reveal the law of the changes, check the problem of the changes, explore the changing trend of family education, I tried my best to research the change of family education in modern China.The family education will be from "traditional family education to modem family education ", on the basis of this logic, I think the traditional Chinese family education has been difficult to adapt to the needs of the development of China's modernization, and the family Education of the West will be the developing trend and direction of the modern family education. The process of the change of Chinese family education is the progressive realization of the scientific, standardized process. Based on the logic of the change, the background of change, the course of change, and the results and evaluation of change, these contents will be discussed in the thesis.The social transformation, change of family, change of school education affect the change of family education in modem China. As the characteristics of China's modernization, industrialization and urbanization have provided the impetus for the change of family education and led to the change of values. Because of social transformation, especially the "family planning" policy since the late 1970s, the tremendous change of the structure and function of family have taken place, this change has profoundly changed the solid family foundation of family education. Moreover, change of school education has deeply affected the reform movements of family education. At the same time, we should also be noted that with the progressive concept of lifelong education enjoyed popular support, the advent of the learning society, family education has been given greater responsibility and significance, which will reflect the role of family education, upgrade the status of family education, promote the development of family education.The change of family education in modern China primarily includes the change of theory and practice of family education. (1) The change of family education theory. First of all, it reflected the publication of books. According to the situation of family Education published writings, the practical writings occupies a bigger share, theoretical writings only occupies a smaller share. That shows the theoretical study of family education is lack. Followed reflected the research of family education. This question is answered from three respects: the basic research of family education, the applied research of family education, and the special research of family education. There is no doubt that great progresses have been made in the research. However, there are still many problems, such as the lack of systematic theory, theory of a lack of depth and innovation. The lack of theoretical research is the main reason of the low level of research. (2) The change of practice of family education. On the one hand, a survey about the "sense of family education" and " act of family education " of parents was carried out. The research shows that in modern family education, parents generally have more scientific education awareness and action, but traditional family education still effected today's family education. On the other hand, the thesis also analyzed three cases: "effect of successful family education", "transfer of educational responsibility of parents", " dislocation of functions between family education and school education". I think that these issues are the product of the social market economy.Because of the external factors such as social transformation, change of family, reform of school education, and the internal factors in family education, these led to the change of family education in modern China. The family education is changing from traditional family education to modern family education.By summarized the theory and practice of family education in modem China, we are deeply recognizing: the importance of social transformation is necessary to the change of family education, it is very necessary to cooperate the relationship between moral and knowledge, it is very necessary to cooperate the relationship between family education and school education, and it is very necessary to strengthen family education legislation. Moreover the thesis also prospect the trends of family education in modern China. In order to meet the needs of social development and achieve the goal of family happiness, the " learning family " may be the ideal mode of family education.The change of modern family education should be said that to achieve a "meaningful changes", that is, from a traditional state to a modern state of change, from a low level to high-level change. But I also deeply realized the research of family education is very weak, the theory of family education is very lack. Only the research of family education arrive " a higher level", which can promote and achieve the prosperity of family education.
