The Design And Implementation Of Inquiry Virtual Experiment In Virtual World

With the deepening of Virtual World’s application in the field of education, Its potential application value of education has been dig out, such as the inquiry virtual experiment under network environment. Virtual world can provide a flexible, open and independent experimental environment for learners, that’s can compensate for the missing of experiment in Conventional Education.This study take Aurora-sim as virtual world platform, and exploratory integrate inquiry experiment into virtual worlds, build a virtual experiment environment, carry out exploratory experimental activities, aims to study the virtual world’s supporting to exploratory experiment.This thesis firstly analysis the necessity and rationality of carrying out exploratory experiment in virtual worlds. Then combining the feature of Aurora-sim and exploratory learning, put forward the design principles and ideas about the virtual experiment environment, and design the inquiry virtual experiment activity; Last, take physics electrical experiment in junior middle school as example, using modeling tool, Linden script and other software implementing the exploratory virtual experiment environment, and do a small sample test.This study show that, the inquiry virtual experiment environment based on Aurora-sim can support the activities be carrying out, and it can partly solve the problem of current inquiry experiment’s missing, it has certain application value.
