E-learning is so extensive in education that the study of e-learning is full of vitality. Different presentation modes have great influence on e-learning, which is drawing the widespread attention in educational circles. However, attention is one of the measures of effective learning, so this study explores the effects of different presentation modes on attention from the point of the relationship of the presentation modes and the attention on e-learning.I complete this research by many methods, such as literature survey, experimental study, observation, and a questionnaire survey. Firstly, I have consulted many domestic and international researches on the presentation modes and the attention to determine the research ideas, subject, content and materials, select college students as the experiment subjects and declarative knowledge as experimental materials, and use the e-learning laboratory to observe the study behavior. According to the observation data to analyze the learner’s attention, I can examine the stability and the concentration of their attention. Finally, the learners should complete a questionnaire test and the results of all questionnaires are analyzed.The attention situation can be examined during the learning process and the whole learning.The results of the study mainly contain two aspects of the attention:on one hand, the holding time of the learners’ attention on different presentation modes in the same content. It is mainly analyzed by the frequency of learner’s behavior that has nothing to do with learning in observation records. The results are about which presentation mode can maintain longer attention and how long each presentation mode can last. In the questionnaire, there are some questions which investigate the time of the attention, and we can obtain the result by data analysis. On the other hand, the differences of the concentration among different presentation modes in the same content. It gets from the test data in the questionnaire.The conclusions of this study are as follows:1,In the e-learning environment, the holding time of the attention in the text presentation mode is shorter than the video presentation mode.2, In the e-learning environment, the holding time of the attention in the text presentation mode is10minutes or less, while the video presentation mode is20minutes or less.3, In the e-learning environment, if the length of the learning time is the same and sufficient, it doesn’t have significant difference in concentration between text presentation mode learning and video presentation mode learning.Finally, combining with above research results, this study puts forward some feasible suggestions for college students in e-learning, and makes a simple analysis of the problems in this paper.
