A Study On Female Sport Rights In The Perspective Of Feminism

Feminism is an important theory of philosophy and sociology. It takes gender issue as its research core and the essence of sex inequality, gender power relation as research content, changing the angle of social observation. Based on the literature method, logical analysis, comparison method and so on, in the perspective of feminism, this paper explains the connotation of feminism, analyzes feminist theory infiltrating sport formed the feminist concept of sports, mainly including sport views of free feminism, Marxist feminism, radical feminism, postmodern feminism and ecologist. Equality in all areas for men and women is the core of feminism. This requirement in sports performances as sports rights. Sports rights include the right of free choice, equality, participation, education, health, work, entertainment, social security, reputation, the right of honor, management, supervision, the right of intellectual property rights and foreign communication, etc. This article emphasis on women’s equal participation, the right of voice, sports leisure, sports education and the right of honor, discusses the legalization of women’s sports right, the practice condition of the sports rights. It is concluded that the thoughts of feminism has great role in women’s development of sports field, but due to the deep-rooted traditional culture and un-reasonable social system, achieving full equality between men and women in the field of sports is a long and winding road. It requires joint efforts from all sectors of society, including women to find the path to strengthen the women’s sports right and make due contributions for the women’s development and the entire sports.
