A Study On The Weakening Of The Speech Power Of Female Hosts Of Sports Programs In China From The Perspective Of Feminism

Since the 1970 s,feminism and media have become the focus of western sports sociology research.Documents show that the research on female media practitioners in western sports sociology has become more and more professional in the past 30 years.Feminist theory is used as a research framework to study the identity,status,rights and discourse rights of female media practitioners.The core points of the research are mainly gender discrimination,inequality of discourse power,symbolization of women in sports media,etc.In China,the status of women has been guaranteed by various laws,but the discourse power of female media practitioners has been weakened.The research on feminism and media in China has just started.In the era of media pluralism,the research on female media practitioners from the perspective of feminism is a major subject and challenge for industry scholars.By using the methods of documentation,comparative analysis and content analysis,this paper analyses and summarizes the weakening of the discourse power of female hosts of sports programs in China,and comprehensively interprets the related issues with the knowledge of feminism,media,sports and other related disciplines.Through combing the feminist literature and combining with the reality of female hosts,this paper analyses the weakening of female sports hosts' discourse power from the feminist perspective,and draws three factors that influence the weakening of female sports hosts' discourse power.They are sports media,female hosts of sports programs and social environment.From the perspective of feminism,this study proposes ways to reconstruct the discourse power of female sports program hosts.Including sports media:incorporating gender awareness into sports media,establishing a fair and just sports media environment,improving the media literacy of practitioners,and actively promoting the spirit of equality between men and women in sports media.Female sports hosts: special training for female hosts,training retired female athletes tobecome hosts,enhancing the sports professional knowledge of female sports hosts,and cultivating female hosts' subjective consciousness.In terms of social environment,we should improve the public's aesthetic interest,improve the mechanism of equal employment for women,and further implement gender equality.The government guides and standardizes the development of sports media in the direction of fairness and justice.This paper provides useful ideas for improving women's social status,gaining public respect and promoting equality between men and women,and provides an important theoretical reference for the development of Chinese media industry and female sports practitioners.
