This paper mainly studies the two textbooks about children’s second language acquisition enlightenment. One of them is the children’s Chinese textbook named Chinese Paradise. The other one is the children’s English textbook named English. The continuous enhancement of China’s economic power and the improvement of China’s international status attract increasing interests in learning Chinese, and the promotion of the Chinese education has evolved from Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language to teach Chinese to the speakers of other language. As a result, people from all walks of life start to learn Chinese, with the majority of them being children. Considering the huge difference between children and adults, it is of great necessity to design textbook specifically for the children. Moreover, with the leading position of English worldwide and the steady development of children’s English education, it is very common for children to learn English, especially in China, and children’s English enlightenment teaching textbook has also developed for many years. Comparing and analyzing the two kinds of textbooks together can absorb the essence of both and promote the development of children’s Chinese learning textbooks.This article is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, which points out the research purpose and significance of this article. It also gives the overview of the current situation of Chinese as a foreign language textbook research, and the achievements of the children’s enlightenment textbooks research. The second part is the comparison and analysis of the topics of Chinese Paradise and those of English, the topic selections have many common features. The third part is the comparison and analysis of teaching steps. The fourth part is the comparative analysis of the teaching content of Chinese Paradise and English, including cultures, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and Chinese character. They both have a relatively perfect teaching system in terms of phonetic teaching. The fifth part is my advices for the two books.
