Chinese paradise,which is applied to foreign children,is a set of Junior Chinese textbooks recommended by Chinese Hanban,It has its own characteristics in content and layout design.Based on the present textbook theory and textbook evaluation theory and evaluation standard,as well as the teaching practice in Siyuan Academia de Lengua China in Ecuador,we evaluated the Spanish version of this set of textbooks.The results show that the teaching material gives full consideration to the children's psychological characteristics in vocabulary,grammar,text,practice,culture,illustrations,games and songs,Chinese characters.It is a good textbook with a distinctive feature.There are also some deficiencies: The control on vocabulary and grade is very reasonable,but part of the interpretation of the vocabulary is not accurate and comprehensive;The text is short and not difficult,the topic is practical,and suitable for children to learn,but the form is simple and lack of creativity and fun;The textbook introduced mainly the knowledge of the culture,the content relates well with the topic of that lesson,but lacks of relevant text introduction,learners need to search the culture content;The illustrations is one of the most special and attractive aspect of this book.This book includes a large number of beautiful illustrations,covering texts,vocabulary,grammar and so on,it is fascinating and be able to attract learners,but part of the illustration is not attached well with the text theme,some even opposite;The arrangement of characters is from the basic strokes to Chinese characters,one character each lesson,but some characters are too complex and not suitable for the present stage of children to learn;These games and songs increase the interestingness of the book and enrich teaching activities,but many of the games and the of songs is not suitable.For this reason,the paper also puts forward some suggestions: combined with Spanish characteristics and the texts to explain words;appropriately increase other text forms,such as multiple complex sentences,improve the quality of illustration,enhance the connection with text content;and choose characters more basic and simple.More consideration of Ecuador's language and culture characteristics and children's learning psychology and personality traits can improve the quality of this textbook.
