After the mid-1990s, with the adjustment of the direction of reform of state-owned enterprises, the peak of the laid-off workers is coming."Laid off" means that the whole family will lose jobs associated with the welfare, social support and psychological sense of belonging. When the family system functions out of balance, normal morphology families will face the challenges posed by imbalances and impact, in which all children become the most vulnerable to this crisis situation but easily neglected masses. Based on the life course theory and research methods, studying the impact of "Laid off" which is a society life event with a great time significance for families and their children.The study shows:First,"laid off" as a parent experiencing life events affect the way the families are going and children running personal growth experience. It particularly represented by changing in family economics and family relationships. During this process children experienced that father’s role is missing, accompanied by her mother and guide, striving for acceptance and recognition of their peers, helpless, lose and fear in the depth of their hearts. Second, as a society life events experienced by the family, the impact of the "laid off" on family members with intergenerational differences. For the grandparent, parent and children, the most significant impact are twisted intergenerational relations, social identity lost, similar to adult experience extends downward. Third, the children of laid-off workers have personality characteristics and values in terms of similarity, reflected a strong sense of inferiority and achievement motivation, sensitive, suspicious, nervous anxiety, independence, hardiness, adaptability and other personality characteristics, as well as work and family preference, keen on a stable and secure job, attention to the centrality of family values, etc. Fourth, the career development of children laid-off workers has differences. By multivariate linear regression analysis showed that children of laid-off workers occupational factors affecting achievement differences include gender, age, achievement motivation, career goals specific, social influence and professionalism, the regression equation is y=-0.766x1+0.148x2+0.365x3+0.709x4+0.876x5+0.88x6.
