In2004, State Council revealed in papers that ideological and moral education should befurther enhanced and improved. The program-planning for long-term educational reformationand development of2010-2020was to put moral education in the first place. However, vocational school students are rebelious, courious and weak in psychology in nature due totheir bioligical age, which are symbols for their immaturity.Recently, under the trend ofhigh-school craze, vocational schools are faced with great competition for enrollment ofstudents. What is worse, students enrolled are increasing less qualified. As a result, problemsin moral education have emerged and posed a great challenge to moral education in vacationalschools. Under such circumstances, investigation on the existence of moral problems inschool and the corresponding attributes is of great importance in hope of constructivemeasures to be found. Seeing that current research on moral problems of vocational schoolstudents are insufficient and superficial, further investigation hopefully is likely to result inapplication of relevant theories. In this paper, hitherto, literature, questionaire and intervieware employed in the process of research.Analysis on literaturs and examples of misconducts in vocational schools, studentsgenerally perform poorly in terms of faith, inactivity in learing, mentality, awareness inlawfulness, self-consciousness, and morality. Take one school in Chengde for example, similar performance has been identified in questionair responses, which are obviously realisticreflections on current situations. For most students, reading are confined for the purpose ofself-fulfillment, not to mention for the whole social being. Even students exclude readingfrom their daily routine. Some form bad habits of littering and spitting around; others expresstheir hunger for friendship and love from their fellow classmate or their teachers, whichdiscourages them in a diasterous way. Analysis on the questionaire responses and randominterviews comes to an conclusion that reasons for moral problems among vocatonal schoolstudents vary. For leading ones deserve attention: social influences from economicdevelopment and negative cultural circumstances, educational inefficiency in school facilitiesand teaching, household instablility and lack of discipline, and immaturity, all of which lead to effective measures to be taken.First, environmental improvement shall be made through the introduction of social fundsimput, diverse teaching approaches as well as a build-up of platform for graduates’employment. Second, reformations on teaching material, methods and faculty traininng shallbe preferable for moral education. Thirdly, emphasis on family education shall be made.Parents shall be encouraged to revise their ideas, promote democracy within family memberand, above all, attend mentalities of their children. Finally, confidence, self-control, and asense of duty shall be adopted by students with the help of all relevant personnel andgovernmental sectors.
