In our country comprehensive advancement education environment of quality education,and the like a raging fire of new curriculum reform, research and Thinking on elective4-4focus on the content of the polar coordinates system and the parameter equation of teachingand learning, is an imminent task. Polar coordinates and parameters of elementarymathematics and higher mathematics equation is a point of convergence, but also linked withreal life important basic knowledge closely, found that the teaching effect is not just as onewishes in the actual teaching process, through the combination of theory and practice, tryingto explore the teaching of the polar coordinate system and the parameter equation.This paper mainly adopts the method of questionnaire, literature research method, casestudy method to obtain a lot of valuable information. Students learn the polar coordinatessystem and the parameter equation of the content from the high school, learning the polarcoordinates system and the parameter equation to analyze the significance of high schoolstudents, analyze and study the teaching situation of high school students and teachers’present situation, summarizes the main factors affecting the teaching and learning of the topic.In the basic education teaching the relevant theoretical research, combined with the polarcoordinates system and the parametric equation of the case study and teaching practicesummed up the following teaching strategies. In the teaching process active penetrationnumber form combining thought; to strengthen the awareness of the application of polarcoordinates; the use of modern information technology, training the students’ interest inlearning, knowledge transfer; do the work, the correct understanding of the topic and thesimilarities and differences between the previous knowledge.
