The Function Of Music Education In College Students’Ideological And Political Education

Material civilization and spiritual civilization are coordinated developing at nowadays, in the digital era we living, music has become indispensable in our lives. Music is the art of expressing thoughts and feelings and realities, is audios that can be resonate with. From the A, B sides of an album, to quick downloads of free mp3, and then to thousands of music in phones for shuffling, music has become an essential element of life of most university students. Today’s educational system, ideological and political education is the key to open spiritual world of university students, music education definitely plays an extremely important role in smoothly launching of ideological and political education.With the development of the era and society, ideological and political education of university students are facing many new challenges, new situation makes it more difficult to carry out ideological and political education, how to present ideological and political education in the way that makes it more delightfully acceptable for university students, naturally become the top priority of ideological and political education of university students. Therefore, with the development of education, means and contents of ideological and political education should also constantly innovate; make the integration of music education and ideological and political education more scientific, standardized and normalized.In this essay, according existing research results, using literature study based on literatures, comparative study, methods that combining research and analysis, starting from the connotation of music education and the function of music education in ideological and political education, exploring the ideas of music education in China from ancient to nowadays, in order to demonstrate the importance of music education to ideological and political education. And analyze the achievements and problems of integration of music education and ideological and political education, through the study of how to strengthen the function of music education in ideological and political education of university students, suggests that we need to constantly explore new ideas, explore new methods, explore new means, apply new measures, in order to fully explore the function of music education in ideological and political education, strengthen ideological and political education of university students.
